Competition Information

Ranking lists for the 2011-2012 Season will be posted as they become available.

Note:
Ranking lists will be changing after the ability meets in TBA and TBA. The ranking list posted after TBA will determine the qualifying skaters for Ontario Cup #1. Any skater who does not have a qualifying time from the previous season (2010-2011) or who would like to improve their time needs to skate either TBA, TBA or both.

  • Types of Competition
    • Ability Meets
Skaters are placed into groups based upon their skating ability rather than their age or sex. All participants will skate a heat and advance to a final in all distances. Placement in the finals will be based on the skater’s results in his or her heat.
Cambridge Speed Skating encourages all skaters to go out and give this a try!

    • Age Class Meets
Racing at this level is based on age and sex to help foster keen competition. Depending on the number of competitors, the group may be divided into heats or semi-finals. Normally only the top skaters from each heat will advance to the finals.
Groupings are based on Provincial and National categories.

  • Entry Forms
As entry forms become available, they will be listed on the Meet and Competition Locations page. (Click here)

For your convenience, the OSSA Calendar of Events for the "current season" is available to view, download and print online here..
